I bought this Capri in 1999 after spotting it on a housing estate. I had noticed it on several occasions whilst visiting the estate in the course of my work. (I'm a building surveyor for a local housing association) After a few enquiries I found it was actually owned by a chap I new from years back. Even though it had flat tyres no MOT and no tax I decided I had to rescue it. To be honest I don't think it would have been long before the local authority had removed it, probably to a scrap yard.

Unfortunately knowing the chap wasn't really an advantage, he knew I was into Capri's and decided the car was of great sentimental value! Anyway after quite a bit of haggling which also involved having to part exchange my old Escort. I finally managed to prize it from him. I even managed to get him to deliver it the next day on a low loader.
